Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in our team, located in Midland, Texas. This role primarily involves overseeing the company's accounting functions, ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded, and preparing financial reports. The Controller will also be responsible for auditing and budgeting processes in the industry. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the overall accounting functions of the organization. • Ensure financial transactions are accurately and efficiently processed. • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes. • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reports. • Develop and implement budget processes, monitoring company expenditures. • Handle customer credit applications, ensuring they are accurately processed. • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. • Use CRM and Crystal Reports to manage and analyze customer data. • Leverage skills in '3M', 'ADP - Financial Services', and other related tools to optimize accounting functions. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role such as Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Accountant. • Proficiency in 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, and Crystal Reports is required. • Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Experience in auditing and budget processes is essential. • Must have excellent organizational and multitasking skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are needed. • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA are preferred. • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is expected. • Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. • Excellent decision-making abilities and sound judgment are necessary. • Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation is required.
