Description Compensation: $100-130k Benefits: MDV, strong plan and PTO Work Arrangement: Full-time, permanent/direct hire Schedule: Onsite Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to lead the accounting and finance functions at our manufacturing company. This role will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, cost management, and compliance, while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. The Controller will be a key member of the leadership team, collaborating with operations to drive profitability and support strategic growth. Key Responsibilities + Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. + Cost Accounting: Manage and refine cost accounting processes, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variances. + Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budget process and provide rolling forecasts based on operational and financial trends. + Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize working capital. + Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. + ERP Management: Oversee the integration and utilization of ERP systems for accounting and operational efficiency. + Leadership & Team Development: Manage and mentor accounting staff, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cost Accounting teams. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and tax filings. + Operational Support: Collaborate with operations and production teams to analyze costs, improve efficiency, and optimize profitability. + Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. + 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a manufacturing environment. + Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and experience with inventory management. + Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
