Description We are extending an invitation for the role of Controller in the construction industry, based in Roscoe, Illinois. The Controller will be integral in the accurate processing of accounts receivable/accounts payable and the effective use of Timberline software in our daily operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial order and ensuring compliance with established industry practices. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions • Utilize Timberline software for efficient financial operations • Handle construction industry-specific tasks such as managing waivers, liens, and AIA’s • Ensure the accurate and timely entry of invoices into our accounting system • Familiarize with and manage AIA documents, sworn statements, and lien waivers • Maintain and organize job folders for effective record-keeping • Collaborate with the Project Accountant to expedite pay requests in a timely manner • Manage the filing and data entry tasks efficiently • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions and communications. Requirements • Must hold the job title of Controller for a minimum of 2 years • Proficiency in using Sage Timberline software is required • Must possess strong communication and leadership skills • Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations and systems • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and risk management • Ability to prepare and present financial reports accurately • Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing financial forecasts • Expertise in developing performance measures that support the company's strategic direction • Must have experience in managing relationships with partners and investors • Must possess strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field is required • Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
