Controller
Description We are in search of a skilled Controller to join our team in San Luis Obispo, California. The Controller will play an instrumental role in our finance and accounting team, providing high-quality accounting services to both internal and external stakeholders. You will be expected to generate accurate monthly financial statements, manage internal controls, and actively participate in the annual budget and audit process. Responsibilities: • Generate and deliver accurate monthly financial statements • Establish and maintain robust internal controls and develop standard operating procedures for all identified processes • Assist in preparing budgets and coordinate the annual budget preparation across all departments • Generate and issue monthly financial reports, conducting detailed reviews of all balance sheet accounts, and ensure timely reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies • Monitor and manage cash flow in line with company objectives, preparing cash projections and monitoring variations from projections • Provide financial training to staff, particularly in areas of management and budgeting • Manage all aspects of the general ledger and financial reporting • Ensure compliance with company procedures for safeguarding assets • Oversee all required tax filings and payments, including sales tax, fuel tax, payroll tax, and income tax • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, engaging with external partners such as auditors, consultants, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies • Oversee the annual audit process, ensuring minimal adjusted journal entries • Leverage your skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Budget Processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services • Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Auditing skills • Experience with Budget Processes • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
