Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Controller with our manufacturing client in the Portland, Oregon area. This role primarily involves managing financial discrepancies, supervising month-end closings, preparing financials, and providing training to existing staff. Responsibilities: • Investigate and address financial discrepancies to ensure balance in financial reports. • Supervise month-end closings to maintain up-to-date financial records. • Prepare accurate financials for the upcoming year to ensure they meet CPA's approval. • Provide training and mentoring to existing staff for month-end closings and bank reconciliations. • Maintain accurate customer credit records and process credit applications efficiently. • Act as a liaison between the current controller and the CPA, facilitating smooth communication and operations.\ • Ensure the timely preparation of financial packages to CPA to facilitate smooth operations. • Understand and manage inventory, job posting, and labor tracking in the manufacturing industry.
