Description A client based in Newark, NJ is currently seeking a Controller on an interim basis, with potential to become full time as their Controller is currently moving on from the business. The Controller will have responsibility for 4 direct reports, and will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations. The Controller will handle all aspects of the GL, journal entry preparation, AP, AR, Billing, and financial statement preparation. Familiarity with payroll management/processing is helpful. The ideal Controller will have recent experience working for a legal firm, small to mid-sized public accounting firm, or businesses where billable hours are the primary revenue stream. Strong experience with accounting software and Excel are a must.
