The Controller will manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. This role involves strategic financial planning, analysis, and the implementation of financial controls to support organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintains general ledger including adding accounts, reconciling trial balance, development of reports, monitoring effects of software updates Manages monthly close of general ledger and financial report generation Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulations. Generates and distributes the quarterly management and departmental reports in addition to year-end reporting. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasts to assist in decision-making. Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including tax compliance and audits. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to support the company’s financial health. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights on operational performance and financial trends to support strategic initiatives. Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership and other departments to align financial goals with organizational strategy. Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting. Working with external auditors, if necessary, assists in preparation for the annual audit Participates in other projects as requested by the CFO/CEO/COOEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA a plus, not required). Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting or finance.· Experience in the Real Estate industry a plus.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with Sage strongly preferred. Strong technical skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities.Additional Details
This is an on-premise job with traditional day shift working hours in the corporate offices near King of Prussia. However, additional hours may be needed during month-end and year-end closings.
