Description About the Role Our client, a specialized consulting firm in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Controller. This role will oversee financial operations and manage QuickBooks Desktop for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general financial accounting. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will operate independently and collaborate closely with company leadership.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial reports for accuracy and clarity. Oversee AP/AR processes, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. Manage intercompany transactions and prepare consolidated financials across three entities. Handle project accounting, including AIA billing and WIP reporting. Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements following established procedures. Reconcile bank transactions and maintain accurate inventory records. Process payroll and prepare purchase orders and expense reports. Match order forms with invoices and record the necessary information.

Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration. 5+ years of accounting experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry. Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Proven ability to manage financial records, intercompany transactions, and project accounting processes. Excellent attention to detail, detail oriented communication skills, and a knack for numbers. Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
