Description We are currently seeking a Controller for our operations in Odessa, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the financial health of the company, manage and analyze financial statements, budgets, payroll, and tax compliance issues. You will also supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and staff accountants to ensure quality analysis and input at all levels of the accounting department. Responsibilities: • Oversee and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk • Coordinate with the accounting staff to ensure monthly closing procedures are completed accurately and promptly • Generate periodic financial reports and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Financial Accounting Standards Board, or International Accounting Standards Board • Ensure all accounting policies and procedures adhere to loan covenants • Work with the CFO to create the annual budget and report monthly variances • Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary information for the annual audit • Ensure company's compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements • Accurately compute, pay, and post sales tax payable • Evaluate accounting schedules and accruals for accuracy and recommend adjustments annually • Provide input for quarterly and annual accounting goals • Lead monthly financial preparation for the CFO • Ensure balance sheet schedules are created and maintained month to month • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar • Proficiency in 3M • Extensive knowledge of Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Familiarity with CRM • Proficient in using Crystal Reports • Ability to manage all Accounting Functions • Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Strong skills in Auditing • Familiarity with Budget Processes Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
