Job Description
We are seeking a Controller/Accounting Manager who will report to the Interim CFO and oversee the day-to-day accounting functions and supporting roles. This position will manage and participate in the monthly close and reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
ResponsibilitiesManage and participate in the monthly close and reporting process.Prepare and review Standard/Non-Standard Monthly JE Checklists.Prepare and review Monthly Close Checklists.Review module activity postings.Prepare, review, and post manual journal entries.Maintain sub-ledgers such as Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, and Intangibles.Reconcile balance sheets.Support the preparation and review of Monthly Financial Statements.Support ERP transition by reconciling historical accounting data and preparing adjustments.Manage audit and 3rd party request lists and prepare responses.Provide support and accounting guidance to staff members in A/R, A/P, Costing, etc.Identify opportunities to delegate tasks and responsibilities to staff and provide necessary training.Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements, delegating tasks where possible.Essential SkillsGeneral ledger managementMonth-end close processesFinancial reportingCost accountingJournal entry preparation and reviewAudit supportBudgetingBalance sheet reconciliationFinancial statement preparationExperience in a manufacturing environmentProficient in GAAP5+ years of corporate accounting experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or related fieldExperience with audit, manufacturing, and standard cost accounting preferredWork Environment
The team consists of 4 direct reports: 2 Accounting Clerks, an AP Clerk, and an AR Clerk. The culture is family-style, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. The position reports to the Interim CFO, with potential changes in reporting structure in the future. The role prefers onsite work but is open to a hybrid setup.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $118000.00 - $128000.00/yr.
