Description We are looking for an experienced and strategic Controller to lead our finance and accounting team. If you’re a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of financial management and a passion for improving processes, we want you to join our client's team! Job Responsibilities: + Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, accounting, and internal controls. + Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. + Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. + Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes. + Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard the company's assets. + Lead the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. + Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for business decision-making. + Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, ensuring efficient workflow and professional development. + Assist in the preparation for audits and manage relationships with external auditors. + Monitor cash flow, investment strategies, and funding requirements. + Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and corporate governance. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA is a plus). + Proven experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, or in a senior accounting role. + Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws. + Experience with financial software and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.). + Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. + Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports for stakeholders. + Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
