Controller
Description We are in search of a Controller to take a leadership position in our Accounting Department, based in Louisville, Kentucky. The Controller will be primarily responsible for overseeing all financial projects, reporting, and forecasting, with additional involvement in AP, AR, Payroll, and other operational lines of the business. Responsibilities: • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and supporting documents for both internal and external use. • Manage accounting services across all locations. • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to supervise all AP, AR & Payroll functions, providing training, coaching, and counseling to team members as needed. • Serve as a backup to the Accounting Manager, possessing knowledge of each Accounting function. • Coordinate tax return preparation and collaborate with external accounting firms to provide necessary information. • Lead and coordinate annual external accounting reviews. • Manage banking relationships and prepare financial reports. • Maintain annual 401K reporting and auditing requirements. • Carry out other administrative tasks to assist the accounting department as necessary. • Knowledge and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is essential. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with Quickbooks, Sage, or similar systems is required. • Experience with Paycor, ADP, or similar HRIS/Payroll systems is necessary. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment. • Experience working in a multiple legal entity environment is strongly desired. • Project Management experience is a plus. • Experience with corporate tax return filing is strongly preferred. • CPA preferred. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required • Knowledge of CRM is essential • Ability to work with Crystal Reports • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proven experience in Auditing • Excellent knowledge of Budget Processes • Proficiency in GAAP Accounting and US GAAP standards • Strong background in Financial Reporting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
