The chosen candidate will be based in Santa Monica, California, and will play a crucial role in overseeing our company's financial operations and leading our accounting department. Responsibilities • Oversee all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Assist with the creation and implementation of internal control policies and procedures. • Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance. • Use accounting software systems, Sage 100, QuickBooks • Prepare month-end reports to provide a clear picture of the company's financial status. • Manage agency commissions to ensure fair and accurate distribution. • Supervise payroll operations to ensure all employees are compensated accurately and on time. • Use financial services tools like ADP to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations. • Participate in the budget process to help the company plan for future expenses. • Prepare financial statements to provide a comprehensive overview of the company's financial position. Requirements • The Controller position requires 7 or more years of experience in a related role. • Applicants must have experience with Accounting Software Systems. • The candidate must have a solid understanding of Accounting Functions. • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is a requirement. • Applicants must have experience handling Accounts Receivable (AR). • Auditing skills are necessary for this position. • The candidate should be familiar with Budget Processes. • Ability to prepare Financial Statements is crucial for this role.
