Description We’re seeking a Controller based in Aiken, South Carolina, to lead a team managing accounting and administrative functions. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities and offers an exciting opportunity in the retail/production industry. Responsibilities: The Controller leads a team of accounting and administrative associates who ensure the smooth running of financial operations. Key responsibilities include: + Overseeing accounting functions: month-end/quarter-end/year-end closings, general ledger, A/P processing, billing, A/R management, and fixed assets + Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses + Partnering with local CPA firm + Managing banking relationships and cash handling + Supporting tax preparation and payments + Handling payroll, onboarding, health insurance, recruiting, and other personnel tasks + Leading IT operations: infrastructure, systems, hardware, and phone systems + Overseeing POS system and inventory controls + Recruiting and developing the administrative team to foster career growth and contribution Requirements + Minimum 7 years’ experience in a Controller role or similar + Strong proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting + Solid understanding of cost accounting principles + Proven experience in month-end close processes + Skilled in managing and monitoring bank balances + Expertise in General Ledger management + Extensive experience with Accounts Payable (AP) operations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
