Controller

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Wellington, Ohio. As a Controller, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, managing all aspects of our accounting functions. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring our company meets its financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the execution of internal controls over the company's accounting and financial procedures
• Handle requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Take charge of month-end and year-end closing responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and timely accounting allocations
• Manage cash flow to meet financial obligations and maintain company liquidity
• Oversee all account reconciliations, cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, and bank reconciliation functions
• Deliver accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information to management
• Conduct periodic audits of accounting-related activities to ensure accuracy
• Generate financial statements by monitoring and evaluating accounting data
• Maintain fiscal records and other files to accurately document transactions and maintain accounting records
• Coordinate with external accountants for income tax preparation and lead audits
• Monitor the financial performance of the company and ensure the accuracy of the company's reported financial results
• Present financial information to management and external stakeholders
• Timely file industry-required reports
• Complete business and/or accounting related surveys as required
• Streamline systems and processes and initiate corrective actions when necessary
• Handle projects as required. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Ability to perform Month End Close tasks
• Experience with Account Reconciliation
• Knowledge of Internal Control procedures
• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation
