Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Bronx, New York. In this role, you will manage various accounting functions, monitor expenditures, maintain real estate records, and assist with financial statement preparation. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Manage the process of credit card transactions and track outstanding checks • Oversee accounts payable functions and ensure timely issuance of 1099s • Monitor arts grant expenditures to optimize the usage of funds • Maintain comprehensive records related to real estate transactions • Support the review and entry of accounts payable and receivable • Aid in the allocation of payroll expenses and related journal entries • Assist in the quarterly close process and perform various account analyses • Prepare financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis • Perform reconciliations of inter-company transactions on a monthly and quarterly basis • Support the year-end close process and the annual audit of the organization and its affiliated entities. Requirements • Proven understanding and experience in Accounting Functions. • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP). • Demonstrated skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR). • Extensive experience in Auditing. • Proficient knowledge and experience in Budget Processes. • Familiarity and experience with FUND E-Z software.
