Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Las Vegas, Nevada, for a Controller in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry. This role focuses on managing the financial operations of our diverse portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing support for our team and clients. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations • Coordinate with client tax/CPA firms to fulfill reporting requirements and address any issues or questions • Analyze financial performance against budget, offering insights and recommendations • Monitor cash balances to ensure efficient management of client funds and identify any cash discrepancies or bank issues • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard client assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency • Oversee tax planning and compliance, including preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns • Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment • Provide guidance and support to the team on complex accounting issues • Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact Kathy Beavers at Robert Half, see contact information on LinkedIn. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry • Proficiency in Budget Processes to ensure accurate financial planning • Sound knowledge of Yardi Voyager software for managing real estate operations • Expertise in Property Management Accounting to ensure accurate financial records • Experience with Commercial Property Management for optimal business operations • Proficiency in Financial Reporting to ensure transparency and accuracy in all financial matters • Experience in Monthly Close procedures to keep up-to-date financial records • Ability to prepare Financial Statements accurately and in a timely manner • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Proficiency in Forecasting to predict future financial trends • Strong Analysis skills to evaluate financial data effectively • Experience in Cash Management to ensure efficient handling of company's cash resources • Knowledge of Internal Control procedures to prevent fraud and manage risks • Familiarity with Income Tax Compliance to ensure company meets all tax obligations • Demonstrable Leadership Skills for managing teams effectively • Extensive knowledge of Commercial Real Estate industry for better business decisions.
