Description We are offering a interim employment opportunity for a Controller in Brooklyn, New York. The role involves the management of financial responsibilities within the non-profit industry, with a focus on proper planning, budgeting, and reporting & analysis. The workplace is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring a high level of organization and detail orientation. Responsibilities: • Oversee financial accounting systems for comprehensive planning, budgeting, and reporting & analysis • Ensure the smooth implementation of new financial and membership management systems • Regularly reconcile and maintain bank accounts • Mentor and oversee Fiscal staff to ensure efficient execution of payroll accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and special projects • Perform payroll and staffing tasks, ensuring compliance with New York State standards • Handle all aspects of salary projects, from increases and recruitment to new hires, benefits, medical leaves, workers’ compensation, and pension plans • Skillfully manage employer/employee conflicts, employee references, disciplinary actions, and terminations, adhering to legal guidelines • Prepare and supervise annual audits • Maintain precise customer credit records and process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
