Controller
Description We are looking to onboard a Controller at our North Las Vegas, Nevada location. The chosen candidate will be tasked with overseeing the financial elements of our operations, which includes managing the accounting functions, ensuring the integrity of our general ledger, compiling financial statements, and maintaining internal controls. Responsibilities: • Oversee and handle all aspects of the company's accounting functions, encompassing cash management, fixed assets, general ledger, A/R, A/P, and payroll. • Ensure the accumulation and accuracy of all financial data necessary for providing a precise accounting of business outcomes. • Uphold the integrity of the general ledger, accounting policies and procedures, and internal controls over financial reporting. • Compile monthly financial statements and monitor the “Work in Progress Schedule” for accuracy at each month-end. • Develop, monitor, and communicate monthly and annual operating budgets. • Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure. • Complete all necessary paperwork, reports, statements, etc. for federal and state regulatory agencies. • Evaluate contract verbiage and negotiate favorable terms. • Manage and lead direct reports including Project Accountant and Accounts Payable/Payroll Administrator. • Undertake additional tasks as directed, ensuring the overall financial stability of the company. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Controller or similar role • Proficiency in 3M systems and tools • Demonstrated experience in controllership and cash management • Extensive knowledge of managing fixed assets • Proven ability to manage payroll activities • Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience in construction accounting is a must • Ability to manage monthly close processes effectively • Proficiency in maintaining and managing the general ledger • Proficiency in preparing and presenting financial reports • Proven experience in budgeting and budget management • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the accounting field • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
