Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Santa Clara, California. In this role, you will be overseeing and managing our financial operations, ensuring the effective execution of existing systems, and fostering relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be expected to maximize the company's utilization of the general ledger and associated financial software, while also providing support and development to direct reports. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the financial operations, including tasks such as processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer records. • Execute existing financial systems effectively whilst identifying and implementing enhancements to streamline processes. • Develop and maintain a control system that safeguards the company's cash and physical assets, and facilitates transparency and audit preparation. • Foster relationships and cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, such as bank representatives, customers, vendors, and staff members. • Maximize the utilization of the general ledger and other financial software to ensure efficient financial operations. • Provide support and development to direct reports, ensuring continuity in financial operations. • Participate in financial planning and analysis on a regular and ad hoc basis. • Ensure all job duties are performed in a manner that supports the company's current business plan. • Undertake other responsibilities and projects as required to support the financial operations of the company. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience with Accounting 2000 software is required • Solid understanding of General Ledger management • Familiarity with Procore software is a plus • Demonstrated experience in Month End Close procedures • Knowledge in Project Accounting is necessary • Experience in WIP - Work In Progress is required • Must have experience in the Construction sector • Proficiency in Construction Accounting is essential • Experience in the Construction Industry is highly desirable • Ability to handle Multistate Payroll is necessary • Familiarity with Multi-state Payroll procedures is a must For immediate consideration, please contact Daniel Mok directly via Linked-In.
