Controller
Description We are offering a part-time short term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in Bloomington, Minnesota. The Controller will be reporting to the Corporate CFO and managing our accounting operations. This role involves a wide range of tasks such as supervising the monthly close cycle, financial reporting, internal control, budget preparation, and policy development. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accounting operations, including the monthly closing process. • Supervise employees engaged in financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties. • Direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and annual budgets. • Evaluate and analyze comprehensive financial updates to senior managers. • Establish, implement, and monitor internal controls and policies in conjunction with senior management to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other statutory requirements. • Manage U.S. statutory tax requirements, such as real and personal property, franchise, and sales and use taxes. • Authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures. • Ensure the protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments. • Stay updated with organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards. • Conduct audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform other necessary reconciliations. • Perform other relevant duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required • Ability to manage all Accounting Functions • Must handle Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Must manage Accounts Receivable (AR) processes • Must be skilled in Auditing • Knowledgeable in Budget Processes • Proficient in Financial Reporting • Must have a strong understanding of GAAP Accounting • Familiarity with US GAAP is necessary • Experience with QuickBooks is required • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
