Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Controller in the non-profit sector, based in Washington, District of Columbia. This role involves supporting the finance department through various accounting and financial tasks. Responsibilities: • Efficiently and accurately process and enter deposits or cash receipts • Execute account reconciliations monthly to ensure data accuracy • Assist in the creation of audit and other reporting materials • Collaborate with both finance and non-finance colleagues to establish strong working relationships • Use Sage Intacct, Excel Formulas, and other related systems to manage general ledger and monthly accounting tasks • Display a high level of organization and attention to detail in all tasks • Assume responsibility for and efficiently follow-up on multiple tasks • Enter journal entries into the accounting system • Assist with payroll processing and related entries.
