ResponsibilitiesThis position has the responsibility of overseeing accounting close responsibilities for US, LATAM & Canada. This position will be a true leader in driving change, process improvement and leadership across the PSNA (Public Security North America) Accounting team. This is a busy hands-on business support position that seeks a motivated individual who takes initiative in their work and has a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to supporting multiple tasks. Experience in a similar role is essential.
The candidate must possess cross-functional skills interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Objectives
Oversee all Finance accounting activities in North America – US, Canada and LATAM – developing a regional center model to be operated out of US Liaising with External Auditors in interim and year end financialsDrive process improvements working cross-functionally across finance and accountingTrain and lead career growth of direct reportsEngage on IPS Global Projects – and be the lead on anything impacting North America and LATAM – such as streamlining processes, deploying new tools, and migrating ERP.Accounting Activities
Ensure financials are closed as per the close calendar with sufficient review and analysisBalance sheet reconciliations are maintained and reviewedSupport one off accounting transactions – implementing policy and procedures working cross functionallyCompliance
Provide leadership for country specific issues falling within their region Providing local controller with support Statutory and internal/external auditsEnsure compliance to internal control frameworkRegional Country Management
Ensuring compliance with local laws, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards (local GAAPs) Manage CoE performance, SLAs for regionManage team at local country level building robust regional supportManaging local finance vendor relationships (consultants, tax, etc.)Finance owner of ERP solutions based in region and country (outside of D365 / SAP B1)Leadership

CPA Qualification (or equivalent)At least 10 years of experienceMultiple ERP Experience (D365 and Great Plains would be great)Strong understanding of the best in class finance practices and processesTechnical Accounting knowledge of IFRSFunctional / PMO Finance project experience (e.g deploying new tools / ERP implementation)Skills
