Description Job Description: Financial Controller - Manufacturing Industry Experience Job Summary: The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's financial health and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for managing financial reporting systems, internal controls, and credit functions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential, and familiarity with ERP systems is a must. Essential Functions: + Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly and annual financial statements, workpapers, and actionable reports to guide organizational decision-making. + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to governmental regulations, tax guidelines, and industry-specific compliance requirements. + Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and enforce internal controls, procedures, and policies to prevent fraud and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. + Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team, including accounts payable and accounts receivable staff, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence. + Year-End Financials: Partner with external accountants to facilitate the preparation and review of year-end financial reports. + Cash Flow and Credit Management: Oversee cash flow, credit, and collections to ensure timely payments from customers and maintain the organization’s financial stability. + Banking and Insurance Relations: Maintain and negotiate key relationships with banking and insurance providers. + ERP System Management: Lead and support ERP software projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and ensuring optimal usage for streamlined processes. + Process Improvement: Develop and execute strategies to continuously improve data flow and financial reporting processes for maximum efficiency. + Strategic Collaboration: Partner with senior management to contribute to strategic planning and high-level business decisions that align with company goals. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 10+ years of accounting management experience with a proven record of success. + Advanced knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting practices, processes, and challenges. + An MBA or CPA credential is strongly preferred. + Collaborative communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively engage stakeholders internally and externally.
