Description We are seeking a Controller in Dallas, Texas, to join our team. In this role, you will oversee all accounting functions, from accounts receivable to accounts payable, and general ledger management. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting financial statements. Responsibilities: • Oversee the management of all accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger. • Implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures and evaluate their effectiveness. • Prepare and present financial statements and related reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis. • Supervise monthly balancing of books and review of accounts. • Coordinate the annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents. • Direct the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification. • Provide management with timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress. • Ensure compliance with personal property tax reporting. • Monitor receivables to mitigate credit risk. • Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures. • Assist with strategic planning and special projects as required. • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
