Description We are offering a CONTRACT employment opportunity for a Controller on our non-profit client's team located in PORTLAND, Oregon. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of our financial statements, supervise the accounting team, and handle multiple grants and contracts that fund their operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accurate processing of customer credit applications • Maintain and update customer credit records diligently • Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required • Supervise the work of the accounting team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll • Ensure the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial statements • Handle financial aspects of multiple grants and contracts, ensuring detailed time tracking and accurate cost reimbursement • Utilize accounting software systems to streamline accounting functions • Close month-end accounts and provide accurate financial reports • Display excellent customer service skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism and communication with all stakeholders. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is needed for efficient management of financial data. • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) to oversee company's financial obligations effectively. • Knowledge in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize bad debts. • Ability to perform Month End Close tasks to ensure proper record and recognition of all financial transactions.
