Robert Half Finance & Accounting
Description We are in search of a Controller for our operations based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, 53188, United States. In this role, you will handle crucial financial operations, develop systems and processes for scalability, and manage all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and cash management.
Responsibilities
• Manage and supervise the month-end closing processes, ensuring that financial reporting is accurate and timely.
• Handle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and reconciliation of accounts.
• Administer payroll processes, ensuring adherence to payroll regulations and timely payment for all employees.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks by providing accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal accounting and tax regulations. Prepare for and oversee audits as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO to align financial strategies with business goals and operational needs.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Manage the use of accounting software systems such as QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, QuickBooks Pro, and Paychex.
• Oversee the application of GAAP, percentage-of-completion accounting practices, and cash management. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller position
• Proficiency in 3M is essential
• Experience in using Accounting Software Systems is required
• Knowledge of ADP - Financial Services is a must
• CRM skills are necessary
• Familiarity with Crystal Reports is needed
• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Auditing skills are a prerequisite
• Should be adept at Budget Processes
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online, Quickbooks Premier, QuickBooks Pro, and Quickbooks ProAdvisor is required
• Knowledge of Paychex and Paychex Payroll is necessary
• Experience in Construction and Construction Accounting is required
• Ability to handle Construction Projects - Accounting
• Must understand the percentage (%) of completion
• Experience in Month End Close, Month-end Close Activities, Month-end Journal Entries, Month-end Financial is a must
• Ability to manage Monthly Account Reconciliation and Monthly Financial Statements.
