Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the hospitality industry, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role is for a Controller who will have a significant impact on the financial operations of our establishment. To apply for this role, please call Noe Silva at 808.452.0264. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the financial operations of our establishment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Generate and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage and supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and internal audit processes.
• Collaborate with department heads to discuss financial performance and guide on revenue opportunities and cost management strategies.
• Safeguard our assets and ensure proper documentation and internal controls for financial transactions.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring variances, and implementing cost controls as needed.
• Maintain relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
• Utilize financial software and hotel-specific systems for efficient management.
• Perform accounting functions with precision, utilizing tools such as 3M, ADP - Financial Services, CRM, Crystal Reports, etc.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controller role within the hospitality industry
• Proficiency in 3M and other Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Familiarity with CRM and Crystal Reports is a plus
• Strong knowledge of all Accounting Functions
• Proven experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid understanding of Auditing practices and principles
• Experience in managing Budget Processes effectively
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
• A team player with leadership abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field is preferred.
