Description We are on the search for an experienced part-time Controller to join our team based in Burbank, California. The Controller will be tasked with transitioning our accounting system, managing both accounts payable and receivable, executing payroll tasks, and overseeing clerical staff. This role also presents an opportunity to work in a long term contract capacity. (The role will be 20-30 hours per week growing into a full 40 hours per week role in the future.) Responsibilities: • Transition the company's accounting system from cash to accrual • Ensure all account reconciliations are managed effectively • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable aging • Execute payroll-related tasks in an efficient manner • Prepare and execute journal entries as required • Generate and conduct reviews of financial statements • Provide guidance, direction, and mentorship to clerical staff • Employ QuickBooks Online for various accounting functions • Manage month end close procedures • Prepare financial statements as part of the regular accounting cycle Requirements • Proficiency in performing all Accounting Functions • Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Demonstrable skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Familiarity with Quickbooks Online • Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles • Ability to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently • Expertise in Financial Statement Preparation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
