Description Controller A client of ours is looking for a Controller for a contract role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the SaaS industry and extensive NetSuite experience. This role requires recent controllership experience and the ability to travel for an initial three-month period. The Controller will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to ensure the company's financial health and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities of Controller + Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. + Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. + Maintain and enhance the NetSuite ERP system to optimize financial operations. + Develop internal controls and financial policies to support business growth. + Ensure tax compliance, audits, and regulatory filings are completed accurately. + Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights. + Lead and mentor the accounting team to enhance productivity and efficiency. + Travel as needed for the first three months to support transition and implementation. Requirements Skills/Qualifications of Controller + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred). + 5+ years of recent Controllership experience in a fast-paced environment. + Proven experience in the SaaS industry, with knowledge of revenue recognition and subscription-based models. + Hands-on expertise with NetSuite ERP implementation and management. + Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. + Willingness and ability to travel for three months of employment. + Experience with IPO readiness, M& A, or private equity-backed companies. + Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. + Proficiency in automation and financial systems optimization.
