Description A dynamic and mission-driven Non-Profit organization has an immediate opening for an experienced Controller. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a proven track record in financial management. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in managing accounting functions, and a deep understanding of non-profit financial operations. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. + Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations. + Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes. + Maintain compliance with GAAP, donor-imposed restrictions, and regulatory requirements. + Prepare financial statements, grant reporting, and other key management reports. + Partner with senior leadership on strategic financial planning and decision-making. + Manage audits, tax returns, and other compliance activities. Qualifications: + A minimum of 5 years as a Controller, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role. + Non-Profit experience is highly desirable and considered a strong asset. + Proficiency with accounting software; experience with Blackbaud is a significant plus. + Strong knowledge of financial principles, non-profit accounting standards, and fund accounting. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required; CPA designation is a plus. + Outstanding analytical, communication, and organizational skills. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment.
