Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This role involves taking on a wide range of responsibilities that will impact various aspects of the business. Responsibilities: • Conducting regular financial analysis and comparisons of current results to prior year and plan, providing valuable insights for decision-making. • Overseeing the financial month-end close process ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Participating in the budgeting and forecasting process to align with the company's financial objectives. • Managing and supervising the accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. • Preparing financial analysis and reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. • Assisting in setting the strategic direction for the business, providing vital financial input and ensuring alignment with the group’s overall objectives. • Handling special projects as assigned by senior management. • Overseeing the collection of accounts receivable to ensure timely payment. • Reviewing excess and obsolete inventory, identifying areas for cost reduction. • Providing financial training and support to the General Managers, enhancing their ability to interpret and use the financial results of their Business. • Tracking and communicating capital expenditure projects, ensuring they are on track and within budget. • Assisting with potential future acquisitions including due diligence and post-acquisition integration. For immediate consideration, please contact Emily at emily.bass@roberthalf.c0m Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as Controller • Proven expertise in Accounting Functions • Demonstrated experience in Auditing • Proficiency in Accounting Management • Familiarity with WIP - Work In Progress • Knowledge and understanding of percentage (%) of completion method • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred • Excellent leadership and team management skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Proficient in using modern accounting software and systems • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
