Description Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Controller position with a thriving and innovative company in San Diego, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing accounting team and play a key role in the financial management and operational success of a growing organization. Key Responsibilities + Oversee all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. + Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes. + Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior leadership while providing key financial insights. + Maintain compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, ensuring audit readiness at all times. + Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and treasury activities. + Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies to enhance workflow efficiency. + Collaborate with cross-departmental leadership to provide financial guidance for operational and strategic decision-making. + Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team while fostering a high-performance culture. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred. + Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including supervisory roles. Public accounting and corporate accounting experience are highly valued. + Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across departments and with executive leadership. + Thorough understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance. Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M& A) or scaling businesses is a plus.
