Description We are searching for a Controller to join our team in the non-profit industry. As a Controller, you will oversee all accounting and finance activities, provide leadership, and execute initiatives that align with the mission and values of the organization. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all the accounting functions, including customer credit applications and records • Ensure the overall financial performance of the organization aligns with short-term and long-term operational goals • Develop effective accounting systems, policies, and procedures that comply with applicable regulations • Collaborate with leadership to establish financial goals and annual budgets • Assist with the development of the annual operating budget and ensure the organization operates within the established budget • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure timely communication to relevant stakeholders • Manage the month-end close process, including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation • Act as the main contact for auditors and coordinate year-end analyses and audits • Oversee cash management and prepare weekly cash management reports • Maintain inventory and depreciation schedules for all organizational assets • Oversee client accounting functions, ensuring funds are managed according to each client's needs and preferences • Maintain the functionality of all accounting systems, databases, and financial software. The base pay range for this role is between $90-105K and your base pay will depend on your skills, experience and training, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Non-Profit sector • Proven expertise in Accounting Software Systems • Strong proficiency in handling Accounting Functions • Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Solid understanding and experience in Auditing • Proven competence in managing Budget Processes • Specific experience in Fund Accounting within a Non-Profit context • Deep knowledge and understanding of Non-profit Accounting practices and regulations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
