This fully remote role provides the opportunity to build and scale processes, work closely with executive leadership, and play a key role in preparing for a future IPO. Key Responsibilities + Financial Leadership – Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP. + Strategic Planning – Collaborate with the CFO and FP& A team to drive financial strategy and support company growth objectives. + SaaS Revenue Recognition – Ensure compliance with ASC 606 for revenue recognition related to subscription-based financial products. + Internal Controls & Compliance – Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control framework to safeguard assets and support public company readiness. + Team Management – Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. + Process Optimization – Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations and enhance accounting systems to support scalability. + Stakeholder Communication – Serve as a key liaison with external auditors, investors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and compliance. Requirements What You Bring + CPA required. + 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role at a high-growth FinTech or SaaS company. + Strong knowledge of GAAP, SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606), and public company compliance. + Experience leading companies through significant growth phases, ideally with IPO exposure. + Ability to build and lead a team in a fully remote, high-growth environment. + Strategic mindset, with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and hands-on execution. + Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, revenue automation tools).
