Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Brewster, New York. In this role, you will be overseeing all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and other financial activities for our manufacturing site. You will contribute to the continual development and improvement of business processes, as well as the implementation of accounting policies and procedures. Collaborating with the plant manager to optimize operating results is a key aspect of the job.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring corporate internal control requirements are met and compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations pertaining to accounting and commercial practices is maintained.
• Overseeing month and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and account analysis.
• Preparing and analyzing monthly reports, forecasts, annual budgets, key performance indicators and other required financials in accordance with Corporate and local requirements.
• Coordinating and documenting all capital investment projects for approvals.
• Conducting audits of bills of materials to ensure product costs are accurate and accounted for properly; this includes ensuring bill of material and costing accurately reflect current production operations.
• Collaborating with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Shared Services.
• Analyzing cash flow, cost controls, and performance measurements to support operational goals.
• Continuously driving process improvements and initiatives for the Finance department to improve effectiveness.
• Carrying out other duties as assigned.
Requirements • Proficiency in using 3M software.
• Ability to operate Accounting Software Systems effectively.
• Expertise in using ADP - Financial Services.
• Proficient in the use of CRM software.
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports software.
• Capable of performing various Accounting Functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP).
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Competence in Auditing.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes.
