Job Title: Controller

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee month-end close, budget management, financial analysis, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience and exposure in the private equity space.

ResponsibilitiesOversee the preparation of complete, accurate, and timely financial statements.Monitor the financial performance of the company.Compile and analyze financial reporting packages.Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual operating budgets.Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with company procedures.Communicate financial metrics to Sr. management.Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and legal requirements.Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; may need to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAccountingGeneral ledgerReconciliationFinancial reportingFinancial statement preparationMonth-end closeJournal entryAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA is preferred but not required5-10 years of true accounting experience specific to financial reporting and general ledgerExperience with NetSuite or another ERP systemA keen interest in gaining experience in the private equity worldEagerness and ambition to grow professionallyWork Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in Independence for the first three months. After establishing trust and demonstrating the ability to perform the job effectively, there will be opportunities to work remotely, with occasional onsite visits as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

10% bonus potential and they may discuss phantom shares. will have flexibility and full benefits offered
