Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Controller in the heart of LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. The Corporate Controller is a senior-level finance executive responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting activities within the organization. This individual plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the company's financial integrity, compliance with regulations, and strategic financial planning. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other executive leaders, the Controller also implements and maintains effective internal controls, streamlines processes, and provides financial insights to drive organizational growth and efficiency. Responsibilities
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with all external reporting requirements, including tax filings and regulatory disclosures.
• Support tax strategy planning and oversee corporate treasury functions, including cash flow management and banking relationships.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial systems/software.
• Provide valuable financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to executive leadership and the board of directors.
• Coordinate and manage both external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings or recommendations.
• Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and other financial partners.
• Guide strategic financial initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures.
• Oversee all accounting and financial reporting activities within the organization.
• Provide special reporting and ratios for private equity and banking.
• Lead teams through business improvement processes and initiatives.
• Oversee asset-based lending and banking reporting.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
• CPA certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CMA, CFA) are a plus.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position.
• Previous experience leading finance and operational teams through change
