Description Our construction client in Pleasanton is seeking an interim Controller for a 2+ month engagement. The role will focus primarily on overseeing accounting operations, managing financial systems, and ensuring the accurate accounting for a variety of construction projects. Ideally you will work 5 days/week onsite in Pleasanton. Pay is expected to be $70-$80/hr. depending on experience. Responsibilities: • Overseeing and managing the processing of union payroll and project billing • Post-implementation optimization of Viewpoint Spectrum system • Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial records • Preparing financial statements with a high degree of accuracy and detail • Utilizing industry knowledge to effectively manage and oversee accounting on various construction projects • Balancing and reconciling loan accounts, including vehicle loans • Leading project audits and dealing with auditors as required • Utilizing skills in Time & Materials Billing to ensure accurate and timely billing processes • Assisting with other tasks as needed to support the overall success of the team Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of detail-oriented experience in a Controller role or similar • Proven experience in the construction Industry • Proficiency in using Viewpoint Spectrum software is a plus • Knowledge and experience in handling Payroll for Union employees • Demonstrated ability in financial statement preparation • Experience in monthly balance sheet reconciliation • Proven track record in project billing • Previous experience in system conversion and implementation is a huge plus • Familiarity with time and materials billing procedures Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
