Job Description-
A Home Infusion Controller would likely be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a home infusion therapy business or department within a healthcare organization. This role would involve managing budgets, ensuring compliance with regulations, monitoring inventory, and supporting the delivery of high-quality infusion therapy services to patients in their homes.
In essence, a Home Infusion Controller acts as a strategic leader and operational manager, ensuring the financial viability and high-quality delivery of home infusion therapy services to patients. They play a crucial role in optimizing resource utilization, enhancing patient care, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Management:
· Develop and manage budgets for the home infusion program, including staffing, supplies, medication costs, and other operational expenses.
· Supervise payroll and employee benefit activity and reporting
· Analyze revenue, monitor accounts receivable, track billing trends and collection efforts, coordinate with billing services provider and investigate variances
· Monitor purchasing and expense transactions and vendor activity; evaluate pricing contracts and agreements
· Perform month-end and year-end close-out procedures and preparing journal entries for accounting system; reconciling intercompany transactions, analyzing variances in trends, advising and consulting with owners on significant financial aspects
· Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs related to infusion therapy delivery.
· Oversee billing and collections processes to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.
· Prepare regular financial reports to track program performance, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
· Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations related to home infusion therapy, including medication handling, storage, and administration.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management.
· Understanding of home infusion therapy processes, regulations, and quality standards.
· Ability to supervise and motivate staff, manage budgets, and implement operational improvements.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Administrative staff, financial contacts, and other stakeholders.
· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to operational challenges.
Experience with healthcare information systems, Accounting and financial applications, and other relevant software applications
