Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Summary: This position is responsible for handling all aspects of finance and accounting for a manufacturer process equipment located and located in Phoenix, AZ. Key member of the management team interacting with the department managers throughout the business and helping to drive business initiatives and representing finance in all business decision making.
Responsibilities:
Execute/oversee all accounting transactions in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for manufacturing business. Prepare timely and accurate month end financial statements which includes overseeing all postings and journal entries to the General Ledger, and reconciliation of all subledgers (AR, Inventory, and AP). Month end analysis including project margin reports and % complete margin reports. Monitor accounts receivable and collections; establish and manage customer credit limits. Prepare comprehensive detailed annual P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and capital spending budgets. Prepare detailed financial forecast updates monthly or quarterly as needed. Oversee ERP system and make sure it is being used correctly by upstream and downstream users and participate in selection, implementation, training and monitoring of future systems. Prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and managers and perform project cost analysis. Provide estimating team with appropriate budget rates; review estimating methodology and assumptions for accuracy/reasonableness. Perform make/buy analysis and prepare weekly data reporting for management. Prepare variance analysis and explanations for management. Assist Parent Company Corporate Controller and Parent CFO with various assignments. Support financial audits and bank audits and prepare sales and use tax returns Work closely with Purchasing and Inventory Control staff. Supervise Accounting staff
Qualifications

Work independently, with minimal supervision. Able to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively. Ensure tasks are completed accurately by consistently maintaining excellent attention to detail. Anticipate potential problems as they develop and communicate such to Superiors Work collaboratively with others in identifying resources and sharing the allocation of resources. Superior computer skills; Windows-based accounting software, strong Excel, Word, Outlook. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and knowledge of state/federal tax issues.
Education
Two to Four year business degree and three or more years accounting experience including A/R, A/P, general accounting, financial statement prep/distribution or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and prior Accounting in a Manufacturing environment is a must.
