Primary purpose:

Monitor and control terminal components such as cryogenic equipment including pumps, compressors, blowers, vaporizers, unloading arms and storage tanks; gas turbine generators; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, and hazard detection systems; and security systems
 

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalentExperience / specific knowledge:
Knowledge of processing plant operationsKnowledge of gas and liquid processing theories and fundamentals.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the Company Insurance CarrierMust meet the criteria to maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) as required by USCG/DHS regulations

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

Successfully complete the Console Operator Basic Requirements Assessment (COBRA)Ability to operate a minimum of 2 consoles with full working responsibilitiesDemonstrate ability to do mathematical calculations (basic arithmetic and interpreting scales and tables)Proficient in basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookClearly and concisely orally communicate in English with field employees and customersClearly communicate in writing (reports and email)Analytical and problem solving skillsMust be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rulesAbility to function appropriately in high stress situations
