Job Overview:

Linde Services Inc. (LSI) is currently seeking a talented professional to become our Controller. This role is responsible to lead the finance function for Linde Services Inc. and is located in The Woodlands, TX.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Lead the finance function for LSI in the US.Strong partner with the President, Business Directors, and other functional staff to identify operational and financial issues and implement corrective action plans, as appropriate.Monthly reporting on financial results, forecast and variance analysis by preparing and presenting a detailed PL including headcount, Capex, and working capital.Monitor and manage key business drivers of financial results, appropriately communicate business trends and results to senior staff, and oversee the integration of the finance and accounting discipline into operations.Lead efforts to drive digital improvements, reduce fixed costs, maximize productivity, minimize bad debt, and drive working capital improvements.Provide financial consulting and strategic support to business management, including financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, and other ad-hoc projects requested by management.Report out on monthly business trends to LSI management.Coordinate with sales and Customer Financial Services on DSO and late paying customers.Assist senior management in developing the annual budget, developing growth strategies, and setting KPIs for the business.Responsible for validation and approvals on capital spend and productivity projects.Manage a small team of direct reports.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.CPA or MBA preferred.5 years in an operations or manufacturing environment required, experience within the industrial gases industry is strongly preferred.Operational Accounting background a plus.Must be proficient in Excel.Must be proficient in digital business analytics programs such as Power BI or Tableau.Proficiency in JDE preferred.Management experience required.15% travel required.
