Job Description

Summary

Reporting to the Manager of the Controlling & Reporting Team, this person will be responsible for monthly, quarterly and year end closing of several business units, preparation of financial reports for head office and local management, handling of audits and various ad hoc assignments as needed as part of a team dedicated to assuring high quality services to Eurofins Japan Group companies and contribute to transformational initiatives towards goal to become a best in class organization.

Eurofins Japan NSC (National Service Center) is a company which provides Finance, HR, Legal, Purchasing and Administrative services to all businesses of Eurofins Japan Group. Eurofins Japan Group is an industry leader in the area of laboratory testing and is comprised of a diverse and dynamic business portfolio of about 20 legal entities, 5-6 major business lines and about 1,000 employees with aggressive growth plans for the next few years.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly P/L and B/S based on IFRS and company requirementsLead completion of monthly/quarterly reporting package to HQ and local managementLead preparation of tax returnsHandle audits by external and internal auditorsWork with other Finance teams, other teams within NSC, businesses, and other departments as required to improve financial processes and comply with all internal control/audit requirements. Collaborate effectively with FP&A team with regards to various tasks such as preparation of budget vs actual reports, expense processing, CAPEX management, payroll and headcount analysis, and ad hoc requests from local management and HQ as required.Active role in implementation of new systems and standardized processesRespond to ad-hoc requests from global/regional offices. Provide coaching/training to finance staff.  Promote a culture to change/grow

Qualifications

Requirements:

Fluent level of Business English skill in speaking, writing and reading is a mustAt least 5 years of relevant experiencePast experience at an auditing firm is preferredAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAbility to adapt well in a fast-paced environment and comfortable in handling uncertainty or the lack of established precedencePossess strong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to build a strong relationships with business and various stakeholders

Experiences and Certifications Preferred (not a must):

Prior experience working for a global companyIFRS accounting experienceAt least level 2 bookkeeping certificationStrong with Excel, systemsIntercompany reconciliationProcess improvement and leading projectsExperience with NetSuite and COUPA
