Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Controls and Commissioning Manager to join our Buildings and Places (B+P) group in our Atlanta, GA office. This position will design state of the art building level controls and will also be co-leading commissioning teams on complex projects all around the United States and Work with NASA, FAA, and NAVY. This is a hybrid position.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Lead and grow a team to be the center of excellence for control design and system commissioning for AECOM’s east regionCoordinate with other commissioning agents in the buildings and places east region to understand resources required and project pursuitsSupport the Mechanical Engineer with the development of control sequences, diagrams, and points lists for mechanical and electrical building systemsSupport design team with division 23 and 25 controls and cyber security technical specificationsDesign control system architecture using a variety of technologies including ethernet, fiber optic networks, radio, and VPNDesign control system which will allow clients to achieve their “Smart City” goalsDevelop datasheets for process instrumentation and PLC/network control systems hardwarePrepare detailed control narrative for full plant operationDevelop detailed drawings to convey the designVerify compliance with applicable US codes and engineering standards/practicesCoordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as neededWork flexible hours to attend project meetings/callsBe detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture.Schedule and meet budget expectationsMulti-task and be flexible, along with ability to adapt to project deadlinesHave passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS in Electrical, Mechanical + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationFour years of work experience as an I&C Engineer or controls contractor creating controls submittalsExperience with different BAS & PLC/network control system platformsU.S. Citizen due to nature of work

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with government projectsExperience with US codes and standardsExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etcExperience with “Smart” building automation systems
