Job Description
A client in Houston, TX is looking for a Controls and Modeling Engineer to join their Advanced Controls Center of Excellence. This position provides an opportunity to participate in a strategic research and development program where the ideal candidate will be able to work on projects where they will be able to apply control systems theory, robotics, mechatronics, dynamic modeling, or data analytics and machine learning skillsets. The ideal candidate will have experience extracting and analyzing large amount of data sets to perform predictive analysis for future projects. He/she will be expected to have expertise in control theory, such as modern control, adaptive control, robust control, nonlinear control, optimal control, Model Predictive Control; and an excellent publication and patent record consistent with experience. Lastly, the candidate will need to have past experience demonstrating teamwork, strong communication skills, and collaborative in complex engineering projects. This position requires to be onsite 5 days/week and will be at the hourly rate of $65-$75/hour.

Skills and Requirements
A PhD (or equivalent experience) from Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Extensive knowledge and practical experience in the application of Data Analytics including machine learning techniques such as SVM, Neuro Network, Bayes network, Genetic Algorithms, etc., preferably with control applications, and/or
Excellent publication and patent record consistent with experience
Knowledge of robotic systems with high DoF control, path planning, mechatronics, or dynamic modeling of complex systems Conducting research and development in modeling, control, and data analytics for solving challenging problems in the oil & gas industry
Highly technical Domain Experience null
