A Day in the Life...

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Controls and Automation Engineer to join our food manufacturing facility located in Markham, WA. Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, the position provides leadership and overall direction to ensure employee success and production attainment.

Primary Duties

Provides project engineering support to all process areas of the plant facilitiesAssists in identifying, evaluating, and selecting the Packaging Automation hardware and software necessary to meet current and future manufacturing requirementsAssists in managing the controls and automation interface, testing, quality control, data retrieval, and training for all packaging and processing equipmentDetermines the effectiveness and maintainability of new automation systems and manages the automation change process for existing equipmentSupports and promotes food safety and quality program indicatives within the plant environment

Knowledge, Skills and Education

Bachelor’s with 2-4 years’ experienceAbility and skills to troubleshoot and maintain Allen-Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, MicroLogix and ControlLogix hardwarePerform Allen-Bradley PLC programming implementing RSLogix5, RSLogix500 and RSLogix5000 software or equivalent.Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including Ethernet, Allen-Bradley Remote I/O and DeviceNet communication networksExperience with GE Proficy, iFix, SCADA system programming.Read electrical schematics, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s)Perform PID Loop tuning and implement instrument calibration procedures.General knowledge of the National Electrical Code

$76,800 - $105,500
