Job Description 

The International Consumer Bank (ICB) is home to many of the firm’s most innovative and cutting edge initiatives, including new products and services, acquisitions, investments, partnerships and collaborations. This is the business responsible for building Chase UK (one of the UKs newest bank), acquiring Nutmeg (the digital wealth manager) and investing in C6 (a leading digital Brazilian bank). This role will be supporting both the Chase UK and Nutmeg business.

As a Controls Business Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the ICB, you will be a part of a flat-structure organization. You'll be key partner to the Control Management Leadership team to facilitate and monitor the execution of the business strategy and other key initiatives in conjunction with business priorities. Control Management maintains a strong and consistent control environment through a joint accountability model that aligns managers with each line of business, function and region to mitigate operational risk. The team are responsible for leading and building out an enhanced control framework which supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment.

Job Responsibilities 

Provide responsive support for ad-hoc requests related to project delivery, presentation development, and business analysis.  Support preparations for quarterly business reviews by organising complex information strategically, demonstrating strong design skills in Excel and PowerPoint.  Track team performance and project delivery against OKRs aligned to business objectives.   Communicate effectively with key business partners to understand projects and drive next steps.  Coordinate team activities and prepare materials for town halls, employee recognition, and training sessions.  Development of compelling and interesting training content on key controls topics for a variety of audiences including Senior Management, Controls Team and New Joiners.  Partner with the wider control management organisation to cascade latest training, CORE requirements & updates.  Collaborate with ICB Talent & Culture team to deliver the Risk and Controls Development Agenda and business training repository.   Maintain internal resources and documentation on collaboration sites like SharePoint.  Participate in initiatives to simplify, improve, and add value to business processes.  Lean in to support on time-sensitive ad-hoc Control Management tasks.   Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives (e.g. awareness programs, risk expos, trainings, etc.). 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills  

Experience working in fast paced, dynamic team structures such as Business Management / COO role or equivalent.  Proven ability to deliver high-quality presentations and reports with attention to detail.  Strong communication, organisation, and project management skills.  Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint).  Self-motivated and able to work independently.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Strong time management and prioritisation skills.  Comfortable working in an agile and evolving environment.  Passion to grow as part of a team. 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills  

Knowledge of Operational Risk Management gained through working within Product, Controls, Compliance or Audit within a large financial institution, regulator, consulting firm and/or retail investments manager.  Training and communications experience desirable.   Experience using any of the following a plus: JIRA, Confluence, Alteryx or CORE.
