Job Title: Controls Designer

Job Description

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of system designs including specification, integration, operation, test, and evaluation to meet customer requirements for Plant Air Compressor Packages. The role involves close interaction with project engineers and service engineers. The ideal candidate will have the ability to understand and develop loop drawings, wiring, and logic diagrams using P&ID drawings. Additionally, they will work directly and constructively with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel, collaborate with other departments to ensure prompt and effective problem-solving, and maintain project schedules to support customer commitments. A strong focus on quality and attention to detail is essential, as well as assisting field service engineers in resolving technical matters.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement system designs for Plant Air Compressor Packages.Interact closely with project engineers and service engineers.Understand and develop loop drawings, wiring, and logic diagrams using P&ID drawings.Work directly and constructively with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel.Collaborate with other departments to ensure prompt and effective problem-solving.Establish and maintain project schedules to support customer commitments.Focus on quality and attention to detail.Assist field service engineers in resolving technical matters.Essential SkillsProficiency in Inventor1+ years of experience in controls designExperience with loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic3-5+ years of experience in AutoCAD Electrical and AutoCAD Inventor3-5+ years of experience in an Engineering and Manufacturing environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree in Computer Aided DraftingExperience with PLC Based Machine Controls and PLC Programming (Siemens preferred)Experience with rotating machineryWould consider candidates with no AS degree but with relevant experience20+ years of experience would be consideredAutoCAD electrical experience is a plusWork Environment

This position operates under general supervision of the Controls Engineering Manager and Experienced Controls Engineer. A hybrid work schedule is available, offering flexibility to balance work and personal commitments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
