Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team on the third shift. This role involves troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems, integrating and commissioning new automation equipment, and working closely with the maintenance team for scheduling and emergency troubleshooting. ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and adjust PLC and HMI systems.Integrate, install, and commission new automation equipment.Detect and report faults or faulty operations.Work closely with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance scheduling and emergency troubleshooting.Essential SkillsExperience in a maintenance or controls technician role.Strong PLC troubleshooting skills.Robotics troubleshooting experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsPLC programming experience.Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI troubleshooting.Experience with Fanuc robots and other robotics systems.Familiarity with Mitsubishi PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Work Environment

This role is based in a Tier 1 Supplier facility within the automotive industry, known for its demanding and fast-paced environment. The facility operates with approximately 20 robots and thousands of PLCs. The typical work schedule is 8-hour days, 40-hour work weeks. Training will be conducted over three months: one month on the first shift (6 AM - 2 PM), one month on the second shift (2 PM - 10 PM), and then transitioning to the third shift (10 PM - 6 AM). Most of our PLCs are Allen-Bradley systems, with a few others. Experience with robots, particularly Fanuc and Motoman, is crucial. Troubleshooting experience is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
